Reliance International Trading Singapore is proud to have supported Wellington Primary School's innovative educational project with the installation of a **Hybrid Solar Air Conditioner** for their hydroponic vegetable farming container. This project stands as a powerful example of integrating sustainable technology into hands-on learning, demonstrating how renewable energy can create an optimal environment for growing food.
A key challenge for operating an indoor hydroponic farm, especially within a confined space like a container, is maintaining a consistent, cool temperature and humidity level. Traditional air conditioning would lead to high electricity consumption and a significant carbon footprint. By choosing a hybrid solar solution, Wellington Primary School embraced a greener, more energy-efficient approach that aligns with its educational mission to promote environmental stewardship.
Project Highlights
- System Integration: We seamlessly installed two Hybrid Solar Air Conditioner units, each with a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU. The system is powered by three solar panels per unit (a total of 6 panels) , with each panel rated at 570 Watts (totaling 1,710 Watts per unit). This dual-source operation (solar and grid) ensures continuous cooling for the hydroponics container, guaranteeing that the plants thrive regardless of weather conditions or time of day.
