Our expert team meticulously installed a comprehensive system that includes:
- Solar Panels: A robust array of solar panels has been strategically positioned to harness the abundant Singaporean sunshine, converting it into clean electricity to power the air conditioning units. This direct DC power from the solar panels minimizes energy loss and maximizes efficiency.
- Solar Hybrid ACDC Cassette Air Conditioning Units: High-performance cassette air conditioning units, capable of operating on both AC (grid) and DC (solar) power, were installed within the designated areas of the zoo. These units, featuring advanced technology, ensure optimal cooling performance while prioritizing energy conservation.
- Commercial Door Air Curtains: To further enhance energy efficiency and maintain indoor temperatures, commercial door air curtains were installed at key entry points. These air curtains create an invisible barrier, preventing cooled air from escaping and warm, humid air from entering, especially in high-traffic areas.
The integration of these components allows the air conditioning system to prioritize solar power during the day, significantly reducing reliance on the conventional electrical grid. When solar power is insufficient, the system seamlessly switches to AC power, ensuring continuous comfort without interruption.
